I’m a huge fan of Supermarket Sarah (aka Sarah Bagner) at Supermarketsarah.com. She’s always been a bit of an inspiration and I was really excited to read that she’s got a book coming out in October.

Here’s the background (you can read the full story on her website) … She started off selling vintage things at Portobello Market and then set up supermarketsarah.com in 2009. You need to visit the site to see for yourself, but she basically creates these amazing ‘walls’ to showcase items for sale. Everything on display is for sale and you can click-through to buy loads of cool stuff – from one-off vintage finds, handmade homewares, jewellery, art, clothing, pretty much anything.

I actually came across her website and blog after reading an article in the Mail on Sunday’s You magazine a few years ago. Since then she has done some amazing displays for Selfridges, collaborated with loads of designers and has been travelling the world researching and writing her book.

Her site now showcases walls from loads of different designers, crafty people and vintage sellers – I would LOVE to do a wall one day.

Her book is called Supermarket Sarah’s Wonder Walls: A Guide to Displaying Your Stuff and is available to pre-order from Amazon now. It will definitely be on my purchase wish list – really looking forward to being inspired by all of the things she has found on her travels.
